I met Sara online after interviewing Darrt Lindsay for another episode of the podcast. Sarah also participated in Darrt's podcast and listened to our joint episode, which is how we connected.
Sara, much like myself, is engaged in the design and promotion of work environments that enable people to have both a higher quality of life and the ability to perform their work more efficiently. The notion that supportive environments for humans don't contradict, but rather enhance organizational productivity, drives both of us. Dr. Pazell's workplace is in Australia, and it's quite amazing that the thinking about organizations and work methods there isn't particularly different. Even in Australia, there's still a way to go before we reach a more humane design in workplaces. Sara brings examples from her work, particularly highlighting her work in an Australian bank that changed its design to better suit its customer experience. Along the way, they encountered "glitches".
